Size guide & how to measure

The manufacturer's own size panel for this pad.

How to measure

Pick the pad size that suits the space you want to cover - crate floor, sofa seat or car seat.
Measure that space and choose the pad that covers it, allowing a little overhang.
Package dimensions are the folded/bagged carton size, not the pad itself.

Size	Pad size	Package dimensions	Pad weight
S	50*35cm	19183cm	80g
M	60*45cm	23213cm	119g
L	70*50cm	24205cm	150g
XL	100*70cm	35256cm	295g
XXL	150*90cm	41359cm	570g

Measurements are the manufacturer's own figures. The panel states: "Manual measurement, there is an error of 1-3cm, which is a normal phenomenon." The manufacturer heads the panel "Pet Winter Urine Pad" and labels both the first and second columns "Size" - reproduced here as printed; a packaging photo in the same listing is marked 100X70cm, matching the XL row.

Full description

Two sides, two jobs. The flannel fleece face is smooth and gives up fur easily when you shake it out, which makes it the side to have facing upwards on a sofa you would rather keep looking clean. The sherpa face is deep and grippy and holds warmth, which makes it the side to have upwards when the dog is genuinely sleeping on it. Turning it over is the whole feature, and it is a useful one.

The two layers are bonded into a single thickened pad, so it has enough body to cushion a hard floor, a crate base or a car seat rather than simply draping over the shape underneath. It is light enough to carry from room to room and folds down for the boot, and it goes into the washing machine, which is the deciding factor for anything a muddy dog is going to lie on. Sizes run from S to XXL.

Smooth flannel fleece on one side, sherpa on the other
Thickened composite padding underneath
Machine washable
Sizes from S through to XXL
Beige, light grey, black, and blue and grey
Suits sofas, crates, beds and car seats

On sizing and washing. Wash sherpa cool and skip the conditioner, since heat and softener are what turn a lofty sherpa pile into a flat, matted one.

Who it's for: households where the dog sleeps on the furniture, and anyone wanting one washable layer that works on the sofa, in the crate and in the car.

Why we chose it

Two sides, two jobs: flannel up on the sofa because it gives up fur when you shake it, sherpa up when the dog is actually sleeping on it. Never use fabric softener; it flattens a sherpa pile permanently.
