The glow is the reason to choose this over any other skeleton outfit, and it is worth understanding how it works. The print charges under light and releases it slowly in the dark, so it is at its brightest straight after sitting under a lamp and fades across the evening. Hold it under a bright light for a minute before you head out and the bones come up properly for the trick-or-treat walk.

It is a full jumpsuit rather than a cape, so all four legs go through, which gives a much cleaner skeleton shape than anything draped over the back but takes a little longer to get on. The full-body cut also means it stays put once it is on, with nothing to slip sideways halfway down the street. It does cover more of the coat, though, so keep an eye on a thick-coated dog indoors.
