Full description
A standard tennis ball disappears fast in a large dog's mouth, which is more about how satisfying it looks being carried than how it actually plays fetch. Sizing the ball up rather than just making the felt tougher is the more straightforward fix.
Dog & Co's Mega Tennisball is exactly what the name says — a tennis ball scaled up to 6 inches (15cm), sold in assorted colours: yellow, red, blue and orange.
- 6 inch (15cm) tennis ball
- Oversized compared with a standard tennis ball
- Assorted colours: yellow, red, blue and orange
- Packed weight 0.11kg
- Suited to fetch and carry play
On the details. The card doesn't tell us the felt or rubber composition, or whether it squeaks, so we can't confirm either beyond its size and weight. Colour is assigned at random from the four listed rather than chosen at checkout.
Who it's for: larger dogs that make a standard tennis ball look and feel too small, and owners who want an easy-to-spot ball on a dull-coloured field.

Why we chose it
Scaling the ball up rather than just toughening the felt is the simple, obvious fix for a big dog losing interest in a standard-sized one. Four bright colours also make it easier to spot in long grass than a plain yellow ball.
