Harnesses are sized by the chest (girth) — the measurement around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.

How to measure

Stand your pet up squarely.
Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Keep two fingers under the tape so the fit is snug, not tight.
If your pet is between sizes, choose the larger one.

Full description

Wings that flop about or slide round underneath a dog tend to end the photo session early. These sit on a chest-and-back harness that clips over the shoulders, so the weight is carried on the body rather than hanging off a collar, and the wings stay upright where they are meant to be while your dog trots about the room and greets people at the door.

The harness section is the working part. It goes on over the head and fastens across the chest and back, spreading the load the way an ordinary harness does rather than pulling on one point at the neck. The feathered wings are fixed to the back panel. It is offered in black or white, in small, medium and large. Because this is a costume rather than a walking harness, it is not built to take the steady pull of a lead.

Two things worth knowing. Do not clip a lead to this and set off. It is dress-up, not restraint, and nothing in the specification tells us it will hold a dog who lunges. And costumes are for short supervised periods only: take it off before you leave the room, before bed, and the moment play turns rough.
