Hover to zoomSize guide & how to measure
Leads are chosen by length and width rather than your pet’s body size. Pick the width to suit your pet’s strength and the length to suit how you walk.
How to measure
- Width: lighter, narrower webbing for small dogs; wider, thicker webbing for strong pullers and larger dogs.
- Standard lead (1.2–1.5 m): everyday pavement walks and training.
- Long line (3–10 m): recall practice and open spaces.
- Short / traffic lead (under 1 m): close control in busy areas.
| Length | Best for |
|---|---|
| Under 1 m | Traffic / close control |
| 1.2–1.5 m | Everyday walks (most popular) |
| 1.8–2 m | Relaxed walks, more freedom |
| 3 m + | Recall training, open spaces |
Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact length and width.

Full description
The moment a dog spots a squirrel, the jolt travels straight up the lead and into your shoulder. An elastic buffer sewn into this one takes the worst of that out, stretching as the dog hits the end of the line and easing them back rather than stopping them dead. Your arm feels it less, and so does their neck or chest.
Metal trigger clips at both ends are what make it more useful than a plain bungee. Clip both to a harness for two points of contact, clip one to a seatbelt buckle in the car, or run it round a post while you nip into a shop. A reflective panel is worked into the stretchy section, so the part of the lead nearest your hand catches headlights on dark pavements.
- Elastic buffer absorbs sudden pulls and lunges
- Metal trigger clip at each end
- Reflective panel worked into the stretch section
- Detachable, so it can be shortened or doubled up
- Hard-wearing webbing for everyday walks
- Clips to a car seatbelt as a restraint
Two things worth knowing. A bungee lead takes the sting out of a pull, but it does not teach a dog to stop pulling, and the give can encourage a determined puller to lean harder, so use it alongside training rather than instead of it.
Who it's for: Owners of bouncy, easily distracted dogs who want the jolts taken out of a walk, and anyone who wants one lead that doubles as a car restraint.

Why we chose it
The squirrel jolt goes straight up the lead into your shoulder, and into your dog's neck at the other end. The elastic buffer takes the worst of it. Trigger clips at both ends let you clip round a post or into a seatbelt buckle.
