A dog has no idea it's Halloween, but a bone-shaped treat that turns up once a year still gets noticed the way any new treat does. The season is really an excuse for the shape and the pumpkin content rather than something the dog is in on.

These are bone-shaped treats built around dried duck at 18%, with pea flour, milled broad beans, vegetable glycerine and chickpea flour making up the plant content, alongside dried sweet potato, rapeseed oil and dried pumpkin at 4% — the seasonal nod alongside the duck. On the analysis they come to 19.3% protein, 7.7% fat, 6.7% fibre, 3% ash and 18% moisture.

• 90G bag, bone-shaped Halloween treats
• Dried duck named at 18%
• Dried pumpkin included at 4%
• Pea flour, milled broad beans and chickpea flour make up the plant content
• Protein 19.3%, fat 7.7%, fibre 6.7%, ash 3%, moisture 18%
• Omega, calcium and phosphorus are marked "not stated" on the label

What Denzel's haven't told us: the label itself marks omega, calcium and phosphorus as "not stated", so only the protein, fat, fibre, ash and moisture figures above are actually published for this one. If a mineral level matters for your dog specifically, that's a question for your vet rather than something this label answers.

Who it's for: a dog getting a seasonal Halloween treat rather than an everyday one, and an owner who wants the duck to be a genuine ingredient rather than a flavour dusting on a wheat biscuit.
