Full description
A collar is the one piece of kit a dog wears every waking hour, so its failure modes are slow ones: a thin nylon band that rubs a groove in the coat behind the ears, hardware that greens up over a winter, a buckle that starts to work loose after a year. Padding and decent metal are not luxuries on something worn that constantly. They are the difference between a collar that lasts and one replaced each spring.
The band is suede with a padded backing, so the surface against the neck stays soft while the outer keeps its shape, and the buckle and matching D-ring come in a brass tone that stands up to rain better than a cheap plated finish. Some options in the range arrive with a matching lead, two centimetres wide and 120 centimetres long, a sensible everyday length that gives a dog room to sniff without letting them reach the kerb.
