Most wet dog food names its headline meat at a fraction of the recipe, so a pouch that puts the actual percentage in its own name — 80% turkey — is making a specific claim that's worth checking rather than taking on trust.

The composition backs it up: turkey at 80%, with sweet potato, carrots and green beans each at 3%, mixed berries at 2% and spirulina at 0.5%, alongside yucca, green tea and rosemary extracts. Country Hunter describe the pouches as gently cooked to retain the goodness and flavour of the ingredients, sold as a six-pack.

• Turkey at 80% of the recipe
• Sweet potato, carrots and green beans each at 3%
• Mixed berries (2%) and spirulina (0.5%) included
• Analysis: protein 10.6%, fat 5.5%, ash 2.4%, fibre 0.4%, moisture 79%
• Sold as a 6-pack of 150G pouches

On the protein figure. 80% turkey by weight is a genuinely high meat inclusion, but the analysed protein content still comes out at 10.6% — a reminder that meat inclusion percentage and analysed protein percentage are two different numbers, because wet food is mostly water by weight regardless of how meaty the recipe is.

Who it's for: owners who want a high-meat wet pouch backed by fruit and vegetable inclusions, rather than a filler-heavy recipe with a small meat percentage.
