A good bed lets your pet stretch out and curl up. Measure your pet nose-to-tail while they’re lying down, then add room to move.
How to measure
- Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
- Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
- For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.
| Size | Typical internal length | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| S | up to ~50 cm | Cats, toy & small breeds |
| M | ~50–70 cm | Small–medium dogs |
| L | ~70–90 cm | Medium–large dogs |
| XL | 90 cm + | Large & giant breeds |

Full description
Most cats and small dogs sleep curled up with their chin propped on something, whether that is the arm of a sofa, a folded blanket or the edge of a basket. A bolster rim gives them that on purpose, running raised padding around the edge so head and neck are supported rather than hanging off a flat cushion. It is often the difference between a bed used occasionally and one slept in nightly.
The rim does a second job as well. It blocks the draught at floor level, which is where the cold sits in most rooms, and it gives a nervous animal a wall to put their back against, which matters more to a cat than any amount of padding. The base is cushioned to lift the sleeper off a hard floor, and the outer is a ribbed corduroy with enough texture to be pleasant to knead.
- Raised bolster rim supporting head and neck
- Cushioned base for sleeping off a cold floor
- Ribbed corduroy outer fabric
- Two sizes, small and medium
- Available in blue, grey or brown
- Suits cats and small dogs
On sizing: body length decides whether a bed fits, not weight. Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and allow a little more, because a bolster bed loses usable floor to the rim itself.
What the options mean. Sizes run from S to M — £31.99 for the smallest, £44.99 for the largest.
Who it's for: Cats and small dogs who curl up to sleep and want something to rest a chin against.

Why we chose it
Cats and small dogs sleep with their chin propped on something. A bolster rim gives them that deliberately, and it is usually why one bed gets slept in nightly and another gets ignored. Ask me for the internal measurement.
