Details
Most cats and small dogs sleep curled up with their chin propped on something, whether that is the arm of a sofa, a folded blanket or the edge of a basket. A bolster rim gives them that on purpose, running raised padding around the edge so head and neck are supported rather than hanging off a flat cushion. It is often the difference between a bed used occasionally and one slept in nightly.
The rim does a second job as well. It blocks the draught at floor level, which is where the cold sits in most rooms, and it gives a nervous animal a wall to put their back against, which matters more to a cat than any amount of padding. The base is cushioned to lift the sleeper off a hard floor, and the outer is a ribbed corduroy with enough texture to be pleasant to knead.

How to measure
- Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
- Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
- For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.
