10 inches across, which is 25cm — the largest size in the Boomi range. The maker's breed guide puts it with German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Dobermanns.

One larger than their jaw, so they cannot pick it up. Company of Animals' guide: 4"/10cm for a Jack Russell, Westie or Pug; 6"/15cm for a Border Collie, Cocker Spaniel or French Bulldog; 8"/20cm for a Retriever, Boxer or Staffie; 10"/25cm for a German Shepherd, Rottweiler or Dobermann. Puppies may need a smaller size, but still one they cannot carry.

An ultra-strong, high-density polymer with a rigid shell that resists punctures and chewing. It is the successor to Company of Animals' original Boomer Ball.

No. It is built for pushing, nosing and chasing, not carrying or chewing. Choosing the right size is what stops the chewing: if your dog cannot get their jaws round it, they cannot chew it.

The maker does not say, so treat it as a garden and field toy rather than a water one.
