Hover to zoomSize guide & how to measure
Pet coats and jumpers are sized mainly by back length, with chest girth as a second check. Back length matters most for coverage.
How to measure
- Back length: measure along the spine from the base of the neck (collar area) to the base of the tail.
- Chest: measure around the widest part of the ribcage, behind the front legs.
- If the two measurements suggest different sizes, choose by back length and allow for the chest.
| Size | Typical back length | Typical chest |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 20–25 cm | 30–40 cm |
| S | 25–32 cm | 38–50 cm |
| M | 32–40 cm | 48–62 cm |
| L | 40–50 cm | 60–76 cm |
| XL | 50–60 cm | 74–92 cm |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact measurements.
Full description
Twelve plaid and striped designs, a straight bar bow rather than the usual bunched shape, and a price under a fiver. This is about the least you can spend on getting a dog or a cat into the Christmas photograph, and for a good many animals it is also the most they will put up with — anything larger tends to come off before the camera does.
The straight, single-bar shape is worth noticing. A bunched bow stands proud of the neck and snags on a harness strap or under a chin; a flat bar bow lies down against the fur and is far easier for a fidgety cat to forget about. It is polyester, in plaid and striped Christmas patterns rather than a printed cartoon, so it reads as a smart little bow tie rather than a novelty and can carry on being worn once the decorations have come down.

Why we chose it
A straight bar bow rather than the usual bunched shape, which sits flatter under a chin and is less to object to. For a good many animals this is the most they will put up with, and it costs about the same as a coffee.
