Lunar New Year photographs usually come with a two-minute window before the cat has had quite enough, so whatever goes on needs to go on fast and come off faster. A crocheted collar does both. It is soft, there is no rigid frame to fight against, and it sits around the neck like a scarf rather than strapping across the chest and shoulders.

Each one is hand-crocheted in festive red, gold and white, with a lion-dance face and small dangling fortune charms. Four designs are offered, the Nian Beast Scarf, Red Lion, Lion Dance Blessing and Peace and Joy, in small and medium. They are light pieces, between 12g and 110g depending on which design and size you choose, and they arrive flat in a box of roughly 10 to 20cm by 15cm by 2 to 4cm.
