The name on a dog-food bag gives a flavour cue; the composition explains the rest. In this chicken recipe, wheat leads the list and the chicken percentage sits inside the broader poultry-meal declaration.

Burgess Supadog Adult Complete Chicken is complete dry food for adult dogs, supplied in a 12.5KG bag. Poultry meal is 10%, including chicken at 9%. Wholegrain wheat, wheat feed, meat and bone meal, poultry fat, minerals, poultry gravy, soya bean meal feed, sugar, glycerol and dried peas complete the listed recipe. The analysis declares crude protein 19%, crude fat 7%, crude fibre 2.5%, crude ash 7% and calcium 1.4%.
