Large-breed puppies grow fast enough that getting the diet wrong tends to show up in the joints rather than just on the scales, which is why breed size, not only age, decides which puppy food actually fits.

Turkey meal leads this recipe at 25%, alongside wheat, corn, soya meal and rice. DHA is included at 0.05%, linked by BETA to brain and vision development in a growing puppy, and the feeding table is set by both age (1.5–24 months) and the puppy's expected ADULT bodyweight (25–70kg), rather than a flat daily amount.
