A squeaky toy doesn't need to be shaped like anything sensible to work - a dog chasing a noise doesn't much care whether it's chasing a ball, a bone or, in this case, a small vinyl cat.

This is a vinyl dog toy shaped like a cat, with a built-in squeaker, from Bestpets' basic vinyl range. The shape is purely decorative; the squeak inside is what actually does the work of holding a dog's interest.

• Vinyl construction
• Cat-shaped design
• Built-in squeaker
• For supervised play with dogs

One thing worth knowing. The product is filed under "cat" in our own system, but it's a vinyl dog toy shaped like a cat - it isn't intended as a toy for an actual cat, and Bestpets give no size, weight or material detail beyond "vinyl with squeaker".

Who it's for: dogs that enjoy a small squeaky toy for supervised play, particularly if the novelty of the cat shape appeals more than a plain ball or bone.
