Full description

Renaming a tinned range into pouches is common enough in this catalogue that it's worth checking every time whether the recipe moved with it, and here it didn't.

It's 85% lamb — 60% fresh deboned lamb and 25% lamb broth — cooked with sweet potato, spinach, courgette, peas, sunflower and salmon oil, seaweed, lucerne, parsley, turmeric, aniseed, mint, fenugreek and a mineral top-up. Barking Heads use the same fresh-meat-and-broth structure across their single-protein pouches, so the balance here matches their other recipes even though the specific herbs added alongside the lamb differ from one flavour to the next.

On the name change. This was previously Barking Heads Bad Hair Day in tins; the lamb recipe itself hasn't changed, only the format and the name on the front, so don't expect a different food inside a different-looking pouch.

Who it's for: owners feeding a single-protein lamb diet, either as the whole meal or as a topper, using the weight-based feeding guide.

Why we chose it

Same lamb recipe, new name, pouch instead of tin — worth saying plainly so nobody thinks they've bought something different by mistake. Lamb-based options are fewer than chicken ones in this range, so it's a useful single-protein alternative.
