A wet food that lists a single fish as its headline ingredient is usually chosen for a reason - a dog who won't touch chicken, a household avoiding poultry, or simply a dog who prefers fish - and it's worth checking the tray actually delivers on that before assuming it does.

This one does: freshly prepared salmon makes up 66% of the recipe, with no poultry meal or chicken fat in the composition, just potato meal, dried vegetables, fish oil, sunflower oil and a scattering of herbs at 0.1% each. Glucosamine and chondroitin are included too, at 0.004% and 0.002% respectively. It's a grain-free complete food for adult working dogs.

• Freshly prepared salmon 66%
• No poultry meal or chicken fat in the composition
• Protein 10%, fat 8%, fibre 0.5%, ash 2.5%, moisture 78%
• Grain-free complete food for adult working dogs
• Rosemary, parsley, oregano and thyme each at 0.1%
• 12 x 395g trays

On the joint-support additions. Glucosamine and chondroitin are both listed, but at 0.004% and 0.002% of the recipe - genuinely small inclusions next to the 66% salmon. Buy this for the fish content and grain-free formulation rather than expecting a meaningful joint supplement from it.

Who it's for: owners who specifically want a poultry-free wet tray built around a single named fish, and multi-dog or larger households that get through a 12-tray case rather than single pouches.
