Full description

An active dog burns through a bowl of average dry food faster than the label expects, which is the whole reason a higher-energy recipe exists — it is not richer for the sake of it, it is built for a dog that needs more in a smaller volume.

Arden Grange Prestige leads with fresh chicken (20%) and chicken meat meal (at least 20%), alongside rice, maize and refined chicken oil, with krill, whole dried egg and fish meal further up the ingredient list than in Arden Grange's standard adult recipe. Protein sits at 30% and fat at 21% — both towards the top end of the brand's dry food range.

12kg bag
Fresh chicken (20%) and chicken meat meal (minimum 20%)
Protein 30%, fat content 21%, crude ash 7%, crude fibre 3%
Calcium 1.4%, phosphorus 0.95%
Vitamin A 24,000 IU, vitamin D3 1,800 IU, vitamin E 320 IU per kg

On the fat content. At 21%, this is a noticeably richer recipe than Arden Grange's standard adult food, and no calorie figure is given on the card supplied to us. That makes it a poor fit for a dog with a sedentary lifestyle or a tendency to gain weight — it is built for a dog whose activity level actually needs the extra energy.

Who it's for: an active or working adult dog that needs a denser recipe than a standard maintenance food, rather than an average pet dog getting a couple of walks a day.

Arden Grange Adult Dog Prestige

Why we chose it

This sits at the top of Arden Grange's adult range by protein and fat content, which makes it the one to reach for when a customer specifically says their dog is active and burning through food faster than expected. It fills a gap the brand's standard recipes don't.
