A dog that turns its nose up at dry food in the bowl will often eat the same bowl once something wet is poured over it, which is the entire market for a topper.

This is a wet topper, not a meal on its own — Applaws are explicit that it's a complementary food meant to go on top of a complete dry diet, not replace one. It's mostly chicken breast (75%) suspended in chicken broth (24%), with a small amount of rice (1%). Moisture is high, at 82%, which is what makes it pour rather than scoop, and it comes in a 156G pack.

• Complementary wet dog food, for use as a topper on complete dry food — not a meal by itself
• Chicken breast 75%, chicken broth 24%, rice 1%
• Protein 13%, fat 0.3%, crude fibre 1%, moisture 82%
• Not suitable for puppies under 3 months
• 156G pack

On the grain-free claim. Applaws market this as grain free — "no grains, tapioca, maize or soy here" — but rice appears on the composition list at 1%, so the claim doesn't hold against the ingredients, and a previous listing repeating it was wrong. It's a small amount, but it is there.

Who it's for: owners of a dog aged 3 months or older who wants to add moisture and flavour to a dry diet, particularly a fussier eater — not anyone shopping specifically grain-free.
