Full description
Freezing a toy is a five-minute job the night before a hot day and it buys hours of a dog occupied with something that isn't the furniture, which is a fair trade for the effort.
This is another shape in the Ice Paws range: fill it with water, freeze it, and it becomes a chewable cooling toy once solid. This one is shaped like an orange rather than a bear or a lolly.
- Fill with water and freeze before use
- Becomes a chew toy once frozen
- Orange shape
- One of several designs in the Ice Paws range
- No material specified by the makers
What the makers don't tell us. There's no material name and no weight guidance for the dog using it, so a very determined chewer is untested ground as far as the information we have goes.
Who it's for: dogs that overheat easily and owners who'd rather hand over a frozen toy than just top up the water bowl again.

Why we chose it
It's the cheapest of the three Ice Paws shapes we stock, which makes it the sensible one to try first if you're not sure your dog will actually take to a frozen toy. If it goes down well, the bear and the lolly are there for next time.
