A soft toy that squeaks tends to get carried around the house rather than shredded on sight, which is generally the point of buying a cuddle toy instead of a chew.
This is Ancol's Dominic the Christmas Donkey, a soft plush dog toy measuring approximately 26cm, with a squeaker built in for extra interest. Ancol say it's designed to hold the dog's scent over time, making it feel familiar rather than a novelty that's replaced. It's supplied in packaging Ancol describe as widely recyclable.
- Measures approximately 26cm
- Soft plush with a built-in squeaker
- Designed to hold the dog's scent
- Packaging described as widely recycled
- Designed for cuddling and gentle play, not indestructible
One thing worth knowing. Ancol are explicit that this is a cuddle toy for gentle play, not a tough chew - it isn't described as indestructible, and dogs should be supervised with it, same as any soft plush. If your dog is a determined destroyer of stuffed toys, this probably won't last.
Who it's for: dogs that enjoy carrying a soft toy around or settling down with one, rather than dogs that treat every toy as something to be taken apart.

Why we chose it
A squeaker and scent-retention sound like small details, but they're what actually keeps a soft toy interesting to a dog after the first day, rather than getting ignored in the corner. It's also a genuinely festive toy without being disposable novelty tat.
