Care: Dishwasher safe
Brand: Ancol

Full description

A bowl that skates across the kitchen floor every time a dog eats or drinks from it is more annoying than it sounds, and it's usually the base rather than the bowl material that's to blame. Ceramic already has some weight to it, but the difference between a bowl that stays put and one that doesn't is almost always the feet underneath.

The Ancol Ceramic Bowl Non-Slip pairs a ceramic bowl with a non-slip silicone base, which can be removed for easier cleaning underneath and between the two parts. It's dishwasher safe, and Ancol make it across three sizes - 400ml, 1000ml and 1800ml - so the same design scales from a small dog to a large one. A 400ml bowl suits a small dog's portion, while an 1800ml bowl is built for a large breed's typical meal or water needs.

One thing worth knowing. We have not been given the bowl's diameter for any of the three sizes, only the capacity in millilitres. If you need it to fit a specific stand, crate or feeding station, check the diameter with us before ordering rather than assuming it from the volume alone.

Who it's for: owners who want a proper ceramic bowl rather than plastic or steel, and are tired of it sliding across the floor mid-meal.

Ancol Ceramic Bowl Non Slip

Why we chose it

A silicone base that actually removes for cleaning is a better design than one glued permanently to the ceramic, since food and drink residue collects exactly where the two parts meet. Three sizes also means one range covers most dogs, rather than one bowl doing a poor job at both ends.
