A recipe's name is usually marketing shorthand, but every so often it's a literal description of the ratio in the bag, which is worth pointing out precisely because it's rare.

AATU's '80/20' names the split fairly exactly: salmon at 64% plus dried salmon at 16% adds up to the 80% animal content, with the other 20% made up of sweet potato, peas, apple, chickpeas and a long list of fruits, herbs and botanicals including cranberry, blueberry, spirulina and seaweed. It's grain, gluten and white potato free, and analyses at 31% protein, 20% fat, 2.4% fibre and 9% ash, with added glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin.

• 80% salmon (64% fresh, 16% dried), 20% plants and botanicals
• Protein 31%, fat 20%
• Crude fibre 2.4%, crude ash 9%
• Grain, gluten and white potato free
• Glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin included
• 1.5KG bag

On the price point. This sits at the premium end of dry food, and the ingredient list reflects it — a long run of named fruits, herbs and botanicals rather than a generic 'vegetables' entry. It's worth comparing against your dog's actual needs before assuming more named ingredients means a better outcome.

Who it's for: owners who want a single-protein, high-meat-content recipe and are happy paying for a longer, more specific ingredients list.
