Strikeback home flea treatments
Strikeback makes household flea treatments for the home rather than products applied to a dog or cat directly — a spray, a fogger, an aerosol and a full control kit, all aimed at carpets, soft furnishings and the rooms your pet spends time in. It is the half of flea control that treats the house, which matters because most of a flea infestation is living in carpets and bedding, not on the animal.
What the range covers
The Strikeback Home Flea Spray and Aerosol both treat carpets, soft furnishings and pet bedding directly, killing fleas on contact and leaving a residual effect to catch eggs and larvae as they hatch over the following weeks. The Fogger works differently, releasing a treatment through a whole room in one go, which suits a bigger infestation or a room that is hard to spray into every corner by hand.
The Home Flea Control Kit bundles the household side of treatment together for someone dealing with a proper infestation rather than a single flea spotted on the dog, rather than buying the spray and fogger separately.
Why the home matters as much as the pet
Adult fleas on your dog or cat are only a small fraction of an infestation — the vast majority of eggs, larvae and pupae are in carpets, skirting boards and pet bedding, which is exactly what these products are built to reach. Treating the pet without also treating the home is one of the most common reasons a flea problem keeps coming back.
Vacuuming thoroughly before spraying, and again a few days after, lifts eggs and larvae into range of the treatment and genuinely improves results — it is a five-minute step that makes a real difference to how well a household spray works.

Common questions
- Do I still need to treat my dog or cat if I use a home flea spray?
- Yes, household and on-animal treatment work together rather than replacing each other, since a home spray does not stop new fleas jumping onto your pet from outside. Speak to your vet about a suitable flea treatment for the animal alongside treating the house.
- How long do I need to stay out of a room after using a fogger?
- Always follow the specific timing on the pack rather than guessing, since it varies by product, but foggers generally require the room to be vacated for a set period and then ventilated before pets or people go back in. Keep pets and children out until the label says it is safe.
- How often should I treat the house for fleas?
- Most household sprays offer several weeks of residual protection, so a single thorough treatment is often enough for an isolated problem, but a persistent infestation may need a repeat treatment a few weeks later to catch fleas that hatched after the first pass. Check the specific product's guidance for its recommended interval.
- Will a home flea spray harm my pet?
- Products made for treating carpets and furniture are formulated for use in a pet's home environment once dry, but pets and people should be kept off the treated area until it has dried fully, per the instructions on the pack. If your pet has a known sensitivity, check with your vet before treating a room they spend a lot of time in.
