Specifications

Brand: Canovel

Full description

A flea problem that keeps coming back after the dog's been treated is usually still living in the carpet, not the coat, which is why a home spray does a different job to a spot-on rather than a repeat of it.

Canovel's Home Blitz! Plus spray is aimed at fleas and their larvae, house dust mites and other flying or crawling insects, applied to carpets and similar surfaces through a nozzle built for easy, even spraying. Canovel say one treatment lasts up to 6 months against adult fleas and flea larvae. It's made in Great Britain and comes in a 400ml bottle.

400ml bottle
One treatment lasts up to 6 months against adult fleas and larvae, per Canovel
Special nozzle for spraying onto carpets
Also aimed at house dust mites and other flying/crawling insects
Made in Great Britain

One thing worth knowing. Canovel's 6-month figure is specifically for adult fleas and flea larvae — the facts we hold don't say how long the dust mite or general insect effect lasts, so treat that as a separate, shorter-term benefit rather than assuming the same period applies.

Who it's for: owners treating carpets and soft furnishings for fleas alongside — not instead of — treating the pet itself.

Why we chose it

A 6-month claim on the fleas and larvae specifically is a genuinely long window for a household spray, which matters if reapplying every few weeks isn't realistic. Being made in Great Britain is a small point in its favour at this end of the flea-control shelf.
