Dubex dog beds

Dubex makes soft, cushion-style dog beds designed to look more like a piece of furniture than a typical pet bed, with named styles including Cheesecake, Nordic, Cookie and Ottoman. We carry a selection across the range, in different colours and shapes.

What's in the range

Our Dubex selection includes round cushion beds like the Cheesecake and Cookie designs, oval Ottoman beds, and Nordic-style beds in muted colours such as griege and slate, alongside standalone cushions and pillows in coordinating styles. Most are designed to sit on the floor as a standalone bed rather than fit inside a crate.

The look and feel leans towards home decor as much as pet furniture, which is the main reason owners choose Dubex over a more purely functional pet bed — it's meant to look at home in a living room rather than only in a utility area.

Choosing the right size and style

Measure your dog lying down in their natural sleeping position, including a little extra room to stretch, rather than going by breed name alone, since dogs of the same breed can vary a lot in size. A bed that's too small won't be used, however nice it looks.

Most Dubex beds have a removable or wipeable cover, which is worth checking on the specific product if easy cleaning matters to you, particularly for a dog who is still a puppy or prone to muddy paws.

Where a Dubex bed suits your home

Because these beds are designed to look like a soft furnishing rather than purely functional pet equipment, they suit a living room, bedroom or another shared space where you want the bed to fit the room rather than stand out from it. A utility room or a bed that will take heavy daily mud is probably better served by a more purely practical, hard-wearing design.

Older dogs and those with joint stiffness often do well on a supportive, well-padded cushion bed of this style, though if your dog has a diagnosed joint condition, ask your vet whether an orthopaedic-specific bed would suit them better than a standard soft cushion. Placing the bed somewhere draught-free and away from direct heat also helps an older dog settle into it properly.

Common questions

Are Dubex dog beds machine washable?
This varies by product, so check the care label or product description on the specific bed you're considering. Many have a removable cover that can be washed even if the whole bed cannot go in a machine.
What size Dubex bed does my dog need?
Measure your dog lying down fully stretched out, and choose a bed that gives them a little extra room beyond that measurement. Going by breed name alone can be misleading, since individual dogs vary in size within the same breed.
Are Dubex beds suitable for puppies who chew?
These are soft furnishing-style beds rather than chew-resistant ones, so a puppy who chews bedding may damage one quickly. Supervise a new bed with a puppy who chews, and consider a more robust option until that habit has passed.
