Bob Martin flea, worming and grooming range

Bob Martin is a long-established UK pet care brand best known for flea and worming treatments, alongside household flea control and a smaller range of grooming products. We stock a selection from across those categories, chosen to cover the everyday parasite control and grooming most cat and dog owners need.

What the range covers

The bulk of the Bob Martin range on our shelves is flea and worming treatments — spot-on treatments, tablets and shampoos aimed at cats, dogs and small pets, alongside household products like flea sprays and flea bombs for treating the home rather than the animal directly. There is also a smaller grooming line, including shampoos aimed at general coat care rather than parasite treatment specifically.

Products in this range vary in strength and suitability by species, age and weight, so it matters to check the packaging carefully for which animals a given product is intended for. Some treatments are for cats only, some for dogs only, and mixing them up between species can be genuinely dangerous rather than just ineffective.

Using flea and worming products safely

Always follow the instructions on the pack for the correct product for your pet's species, age and weight, and never split, halve or apply a dose intended for a different sized animal. If your pet has a known health condition, is pregnant, or is very young or old, check with your vet before starting any new flea or worming treatment.

If you are unsure which product is right for your pet, or your current routine does not seem to be working, that is worth a conversation with your vet rather than trying several different products in a row. Persistent fleas or worms sometimes need a different approach than an over-the-counter product alone can offer.

Common questions

Is Bob Martin a reliable brand for flea treatment?
Bob Martin is a well-established, widely available UK brand covering everyday flea, worming and household parasite control. As with any treatment, the right choice depends on your specific pet's species, age and weight, so check the pack carefully rather than choosing on brand name alone.
Can I use a Bob Martin dog product on my cat?
No. Flea and worming products are formulated for a specific species, and using a dog product on a cat, or vice versa, can be seriously harmful. Always check the packaging is intended for your pet's species before using any treatment.
How do I know if a flea treatment is working?
You should see a reduction in live fleas on your pet and in the home within a couple of weeks of consistent treatment. If fleas persist despite following the instructions properly, speak to your vet, since your pet or home may need a different approach.
Do I need to treat my home as well as my pet for fleas?
Often yes, since flea eggs and larvae can live in carpets, bedding and soft furnishings well after the adult fleas on your pet are gone. A household spray alongside a pet treatment tends to break the cycle more effectively than treating the animal alone.
