A flea infestation at home is really two separate problems at once: the fleas already on the pet, and the ones already living in the carpet. Treating only one half rarely finishes the job.

This is a pesticide-free spray. Its active ingredients are Lavandin oil (0.2% w/w), the insect repellent IR3535, and Dimethicone, which works by physically immobilising fleas and ticks rather than poisoning them. It's for use on dogs, cats and around the home, controlling fleas, ticks, flea eggs and flea larvae for up to 4 weeks.

On dosage. Bob Martin publish an exact application rate for both pets and the home, based on the animal's weight and the size of the room - we're not repeating those figures here, because getting them wrong from a paraphrase is worse than reading them off the bottle. Follow the instructions printed on the label rather than any summary of them, including this one.

Who it's for: owners tackling a flea problem across the whole house, pet and carpets both, who want one pesticide-free product rather than a chemical spot-on plus a separate household treatment.
