Betty Miller's dog treats

Betty Miller's is a wheat-free and grain-free biscuit treat range, and we carry a good spread of it — cheese fantails and little bones, liver bones, charcoal bones, salmon and seaweed bones, and a banana, apple and blueberry grain-free line, alongside smaller petite and mini sizes.

The flavours and formats

Cheese is the range's biggest theme — cheese fantails, cheese little bones and wheat-free cheese minis all use it as the main draw, which tends to work well as a high-value training treat because most dogs rate cheese highly.

Beyond cheese, there's liver, charcoal, salmon and seaweed, and duck and orange, plus the fruit-based banana, apple and blueberry bones for something a bit different. Petites and minis give a smaller size for training or smaller dogs.

Who it suits

Because most of the range is wheat-free or grain-free, it suits owners already avoiding those ingredients for a dog with a known sensitivity, as well as anyone who simply prefers a simpler ingredient list without needing a specific reason.

The smaller petite and mini sizes make sense for treat-heavy training sessions where you're giving dozens of pieces in a walk, while the standard bones suit a slower, one-treat-at-a-time kind of reward.

Keeping treats to a sensible amount

Treats are still calories on top of a dog's normal food, whatever the ingredient list looks like, so it's worth weighing up how many you're giving across a day of training rather than treating the bag as unlimited because it's grain-free.

If you're doing a lot of training in one session, breaking a standard-size bone or biscuit into smaller pieces stretches the bag further and keeps each reward small enough that it doesn't add up to a meal's worth of extras by the end of a walk.

Common questions

Are Betty Miller's treats grain-free?
Most of the range is wheat-free, and several lines — including the banana, apple and blueberry bones and the grain-free cheese little bone — are specifically labelled grain-free. Check the individual pack if grain-free matters for your dog.
Which Betty Miller's treat is best for training?
The petites and minis are sized for repeated training rewards rather than a single big treat, and the cheese flavours tend to be the most reliably popular with dogs, which is useful when you need a treat that competes with distractions on a walk.
Can puppies have Betty Miller's treats?
Check the pack for any age guidance, since not every line is labelled for puppies specifically. As with any new treat, introduce it in small amounts first and watch how your puppy gets on before making it a regular thing.
Do Betty Miller's treats contain wheat?
The wheat-free cheese minis and most of the range avoid wheat specifically, though ingredients vary by flavour, so check the pack of the exact treat you're buying if avoiding wheat is important for your dog.
How many treats is too many in one day?
There's no single number that fits every dog, since it depends on size and how active they are, but treats should stay a small addition to their normal food rather than a meaningful part of it. If you're training heavily, cut treats smaller rather than giving more whole ones.
