What the range is built for
The honeycomb rubber Bionic uses is denser and springier than a standard rubber ball, which is the whole point of the range: it gives a dog something genuinely resistant to bite through rather than a toy that looks tough on the shelf and does not survive a determined chewer. The Bionic Bone and Bionic Ball are the simplest expression of that, solid chew shapes with nothing to remove or swallow.
Several toys in the range go further than a plain chew shape. The Bionic Stuffer has a cavity built for packing with something tasty and freezing, which turns a few minutes of chewing into a slower, more absorbing activity, and the Toss-N-Tug Ring and Toss-N-Tug Turbo are built with a handle end for a game of tug as well as solo chewing. Who it suits, and the one thing to watch
This is a range for dogs who chew hard and go through softer toys quickly, rather than dogs who mainly like to carry a toy around or shake it. If your dog is a determined chewer and has previously destroyed plush or rope toys within a session, a Bionic shape is a more sensible starting point than another soft toy.
No chew toy is genuinely indestructible, whatever the marketing on any brand says, so supervise a new toy the first few times and check it periodically for cracks or chunks missing, the same as you would with any chew. Size matters too: pick a size the toy suits your dog's mouth rather than the smallest or cheapest option, since an undersized chew is more of a choking risk for a large, strong-jawed dog.
