Duck is 4% of it, and the fat is poultry
If you have moved to duck because your dog reacts to chicken, read that twice: duck is 4% of the composition and the fat in it is poultry fat, which is not specified further. For a dog with a diagnosed chicken allergy this is not the safe choice it looks like on the front. As a grain-free biscuit for a dog who simply does better without wheat, it is a good one.
Why we chose it
The composition is four ingredients long, which almost nothing else on the biscuit shelf manages. Just be clear-eyed about the poultry fat if chicken is the thing you are actually avoiding.

Full description
Duck is the protein people move to when chicken has stopped working, and it is a genuinely different meat rather than a rebranded one. Betty Miller's build these around it, with orange oil for the flavour, and keep the recipe short enough that you can read the whole thing in one line.
The composition is peas, poultry fat, duck at 4% and orange oil at 0.5% — that is all of it. The analysis gives crude protein 21.5%, crude oils and fats 13.6%, crude fibres 5.1% and crude ash 3.5%. Each biscuit is a small bone about 45 x 30 x 7mm and roughly 5g, which is the size that lets you break one in half for a small dog. They are wheat free and grain free, and Betty Miller's suggest 2 to 3 a day depending on size, weight and activity.
