Full description

Flavour combinations that pair a protein with a fruit tend to do better with fussy dogs than a single savoury note on its own, which is the thinking behind pairing chicken with apple here rather than just chicken alone.

This is a chicken and apple-flavoured frozen yogurt treat, formulated lactose-free and low-fat, with 87% hydration. It needs around 30 minutes in the freezer to reach the right texture, and carries crude protein at 3.10%, crude fibre at 0.40%, total fat at 0.10% and lactose below 0.01%. YowUp's daily dose by weight is 60g for a dog of 1-3kg, 115g for 4-10kg, and 230g for dogs over 10kg.

On the format. Like the rest of the YowUp range, this needs freezer space and roughly half an hour's notice before serving - it's not something you can grab and give the moment a dog wants a treat.

Who it's for: owners looking for a low-fat, lactose-free frozen treat with a flavour combination beyond plain meat, for warm weather or as an occasional cold extra.

Yowup Frozen Yogurt Chicken & Apple

Why we chose it

A second flavour in the frozen range means a customer isn't stuck with one option if their dog's fussy, and chicken and apple is a genuinely different taste to bacon or salmon. It's a small, easy trial size for anyone testing whether their dog likes the format at all.
