Full description

A hot day changes what counts as a treat - a biscuit doesn't have the same appeal as something cold, and this is built specifically to be that cold option rather than a repurposed everyday snack.

This is a bacon-flavoured frozen yogurt treat, formulated lactose-free and low-fat, that needs about 30 minutes in the freezer to reach the right texture before serving. It carries crude protein at 3.10%, crude fibre at 0.40%, total fat at just 0.10%, raw ash at 0.70% and lactose below 0.01%, at 87.30% moisture. YowUp give a daily dose by weight: 60g for a dog of 1-3kg, 115g for 4-10kg, and 230g for dogs over 10kg.

On the format. This needs freezer space and a bit of forward planning - it isn't a treat you can grab and give immediately, so it suits someone who plans ahead for a hot day rather than reaching for it on impulse.

Who it's for: owners looking for a genuinely low-fat, lactose-free cold treat for warm weather, who don't mind keeping a tub in the freezer ready to go.

Yowup Frozen Yogurt Bacon

Why we chose it

Frozen treats are a genuinely different category to biscuits and chews, and having one that's actually low-fat and lactose-free is worth stocking on its own merits rather than as a novelty. It's a small tub, so it's an easy trial purchase for anyone curious.
