Yakers Dog Chew Cranberry

This is not one of those. It is a hardened milk chew — cow and yak's milk at 90% — and the analysis is 57% protein against 5% fat, with crude fibre at 0.5%, ash 5% and moisture 10%. The cranberry version adds cranberry at 6% and pomegranate at 3%, with pumpkin seeds at 0.7% and activated charcoal at 0.2%, finished with lime juice and salt. It is a complementary treat rather than food, and it comes in medium and extra large.

On sizing, and on the last inch. Yakers publish no length or weight for either size, so matching one to a dog is done by eye rather than by number — and the piece that matters most is the end of it. A hard chew gets smaller until it is swallowable, and that is the moment to take it off the dog rather than let them finish the job. There is also no guidance supplied on how often to give one, and no calorie figure, so it has to be counted against the day's food by judgement.
