Full description

Older dogs and fussy chewers often do better with something that gives a little rather than a treat that's rock hard, which is the whole idea behind a semi-moist texture.

The composition is Fresh goat 85%, hydrolysed starch, vegetable glycerin and natural antioxidants (tocopherols).

On what's missing from the label. As with the rest of this range, no serving size or daily count is given — Woolf leave that to the owner's judgement rather than stating a number. There's also no calorie figure on the card, so weighing it against other treats in a day means going by the fat and protein percentages rather than a kcal count.

Who it's for: owners of an older dog or a puppy who'd struggle with a harder chew, wanting a soft single-protein treat in a less usual meat.

Woolf Soft Cubes Goat

Why we chose it

The semi-moist texture makes this genuinely easier to chew than a dried treat, which matters for a puppy or an older dog with fewer teeth to work with. Goat is not a protein most dogs have tried before, so it's a reasonable one to reach for if chicken, beef and lamb are all off the table.
