A good bed lets your pet stretch out and curl up. Measure your pet nose-to-tail while they’re lying down, then add room to move.
How to measure
- Measure your pet from nose to base of tail while lying relaxed.
- Add roughly 15–25 cm so they can stretch out fully.
- For pets that like to curl, you can size down slightly for a snug, den-like feel.
| Size | Typical internal length | Rough guide |
|---|---|---|
| S | up to ~50 cm | Cats, toy & small breeds |
| M | ~50–70 cm | Small–medium dogs |
| L | ~70–90 cm | Medium–large dogs |
| XL | 90 cm + | Large & giant breeds |
Ranges are approximate and vary by style. Always check this product’s Specifications for its exact dimensions.

Full description
Cats will find the one warm patch in a house and sit in it all afternoon, and it is almost always a windowsill that is slightly too narrow to lie on properly. A hammock clamped to that sill widens it into a proper bed, with the sun on one side and the entire street on the other, which is most of what a cat wants from a day.
It fixes to the sill with clamps rather than suction cups, and that is the more reliable of the two arrangements, because suction gives up on cold or textured glass, usually at three in the morning. The plush striped pad lifts off the frame for washing, which it will need, since a bed in direct sun collects fur and dust much faster than one tucked in a corner.
- Clamps onto a windowsill
- Soft plush striped pad
- Pad lifts off for washing
- Sold as the pad alone or as a complete set
- Weights from 200g to 950g depending on the option
Check your sill and read the variant. The clamps need a sill with a free edge to grip, so a deep boxed-in sill or a flush uPVC frame may not suit. The single bed cloth option is the fabric pad on its own, not the whole assembly.
Who it's for: Indoor cats who spend the day watching the street, in homes with a windowsill too narrow for a cat to stretch out on.

Why we chose it
Clamps, not suction cups. That is the whole reason I picked this one, because suction gives up on cold or textured glass, usually at three in the morning. The pad lifts off for washing, which a sunny bed needs often.
