Most dental chews are left the colour of their base ingredients, which is why a naturally-tinted one stands out a little in the bag rather than looking identical to the rest of the range.

This shape carries annatto extract as a natural colourant, on top of the same potato-starch-based, gluten-free recipe used across the WHIMZEES line, moulded here into a toothbrush shape and sold as a value bag.

• Value bag of Toothbrush-shaped chews
• Protein 1.1%, fat 2.0%, fibre 7.2%, ash 2.4%, moisture 12%
• Coloured with annatto extract, a natural colouring
• Gluten-free
• Not suitable for dogs under 9 months or under 5 pounds
• One chew a day, Whimzees' guidance

On the colouring. This shape carries an added ingredient the plainer ones in the range don't: annatto extract, used as a natural colourant. It's declared plainly on the ingredients list rather than folded into a generic 'colouring' line, but it is still an added ingredient — worth knowing if you're feeding a dog on an otherwise minimal-ingredient diet.

Who it's for: owners who want the toothbrush shape specifically — some dogs take to one shape over another — whose dog clears both the 5-pound and 9-month minimums.
