Full description

A "chicken and liver" name on a treat can mean the two meats dominate the recipe, or it can mean they are simply what the treat is flavoured with, and it is worth checking which before assuming. On this one, most of the named 95% meat and animal derivatives content is unspecified "meat", with chicken and liver each contributing a smaller slice.

The recipe is meat and animal derivatives at 95% in total, of which 75% is generic meat, with chicken and liver each at 5%. It comes as a pack of six individually wrapped sticks.

Meat and animal derivatives 95% total: 75% meat, 5% chicken, 5% liver
Protein 33.5%, crude fibre 2%, crude fat 20%
Gently cooked, moist texture
6PK, individually wrapped

What "Chicken & Liver" actually means. Chicken and liver are each 5% of the recipe, with the bulk of the 95% meat content coming from unspecified "meat" rather than named chicken or liver - worth knowing if a cat has a known chicken sensitivity, since the exact source of that other 75% is not stated on this card.

Who it's for: kittens and cats who enjoy a soft, meaty treat, rather than owners specifically feeding for a high chicken or liver content.

Why we chose it

The individually wrapped format keeps each stick fresh, which matters for a treat given one at a time rather than a whole pack at once. We flag honestly that the 'meat' making up most of the 95% is not broken down further, rather than let the chicken and liver name suggest otherwise.
