For a household with more than one dog, feeding two different recipes because of a few years' age gap is one more thing to keep straight at mealtimes, so a recipe that covers the full adult range, including seniors, in one bag is worth something on its own.

Dried chicken (26%) is the largest named ingredient, ahead of whole barley, potato, freshly prepared beef (10%), naked oats and whole peas (5%), with dried carrot and parsnip (1% each), chicory root extract, citrus extract and added glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM. It's a complete food for adult dogs of any age including seniors, coming out at 27% protein, 12% fat, 3.5% fibre and 7% ash.

On the name. "Farmhouse Supper with Beef & Veg" leads with beef, but dried chicken at 26% is actually the largest named ingredient in the bag — nearly three times the 10% of freshly prepared beef. It's still a genuine beef-containing recipe; chicken is simply the bigger part of it.

Who it's for: owners feeding an adult dog of any age, including seniors, who want one recipe to cover the whole adult range, and don't mind that chicken outweighs the named beef.
