Full description

A daily stick treat is only useful if the size and feeding guidance actually scale to the dog eating it.

This is a cold-smoked beef stick, made mainly from meat and animal by-products (94.8%, over half of that beef muscle meat), with a small amount of rice and vegetable by-products, individually foil-wrapped for freshness. It is sold individually: the price shown is for one stick.

Sold individually: one stick per item
Protein 30.0%, fat 25.0%, fibre 3.0%, ash 7.5%, moisture 33.0%
94.8% meat and animal by-products, over half beef muscle meat
Cold-smoked for flavour
Individually foil-wrapped
Fortified with vitamin A and D3

On feeding by size. Vitakraft scale the amount by the dog's weight — from half a stick a day for a small dog up to four or five for a large one — rather than giving one blanket number. Fresh water should be available whenever these are given.

Who it's for: owners of dogs of any size who want an individually foil-wrapped treat rather than a loose bag that goes stale once opened.

Vitakraft Beef Stick with Beef

Why we chose it

Foil-wrapping each stick individually means the other forty-nine stay fresh while one gets used, which matters more in a pack this size than it would in a smaller bag. Scaling the feeding amount by the dog's own weight, rather than a single number for every size, is also more useful than most treat packaging manages.
