A teething puppy will chew whatever is in reach whether it's designed for the job or not, which is why a treat built specifically for that stage has to be both chewable and safe to go through fast.

VetIQ's Denti-Care Teething treats have a rigid outer shell for the puppy to work on, which breaks down to release a filling infused with chamomile and peppermint oil. The composition includes wheatflour, canola oil, corn starch, hydrolyzed poultry protein, vitamin C, rosemary extract oil, chamomile oil, peppermint oil and clove leaf oil, among others. Nutritionally it reads protein 11.5%, crude fibres 2%, crude oils and fats 24.2%, crude ash 4%, moisture 7%, omega 4.4%, calcium 0.1% and phosphorus 0.4%, at 3.7 kcal per 100g.
