Guinea pigs, unlike most mammals, can't make their own vitamin C, which is why a food aimed specifically at them needs to fortify it directly rather than relying on a generic small-animal formula to cover it.

This extruded nugget is built from alfalfa meal, extruded wheat, wheat feed, soya bean hulls, flaked peas, soya bean meal and linseed, with prebiotics and yucca extract added. Being extruded and mono-shaped, it prevents the selective feeding that happens with a mixed bowl, and it's fortified with stabilised vitamin C alongside vitamin A, D3 and E. Tiny Friends note it may contain genetically modified soya and traces of nuts.
