A dental chew that a dog swallows in two bites doesn't spend long enough in contact with the teeth to do much good, which is why the ingredients matter as much as the chewing time. Supernature's Plaque Crackerz lean on seaweed, mint and charcoal rather than abrasive texture alone.

The recipe is built from ground beef and gram flour, with seaweed, carrot, parsley, turmeric, spearmint and charcoal added for freshness and dental support, plus rosemary extract. Supernature's own feeding guide is one bite a day for a small dog, two for a medium dog, and three for a large dog, suitable from 8 weeks old.

• Ground beef and gram flour base
• Contains seaweed, spearmint and charcoal
• Crude protein 43%, fat 14%, crude fibre 1.3%, ash 8.5%
• 250G pack
• Suitable for dogs from 8 weeks
• Baked in Norfolk

One thing worth knowing. This is a dental treat, not a substitute for brushing — the seaweed and charcoal are included to support fresh breath and reduce plaque and tartar buildup, but Supernature's own guide still caps how many to feed per day by size, so it's an addition to dental care rather than the whole routine.

Who it's for: owners of a dog over 8 weeks old who want a daily dental treat with a shorter, more recognisable ingredient list than a typical dental chew.
