A licking mat only works as an enrichment tool if there's something worth licking spread across it, and plain wet food smeared thin doesn't hold a dog's attention the way a proper spread does.

This is a powder that's mixed with water to make a lickable spread or gravy — one part powder to four parts water, adjusted thicker or thinner to taste. It's built around golden linseed, coconut, freeze dried beef at 13%, brewers yeast, beef bone broth, pumpkin, blueberry, cranberry and turmeric.

• 100G tub of powder
• Freeze dried beef 13%
• Mix 1 part powder to 4 parts water
• Makes enough for around 5-7 standard LickiMat mats
• Crude protein 29%, crude fat 18%, crude fibre 7.5%
• Refrigerated mixture keeps up to 2 days; can also be frozen

One thing worth knowing. Once mixed with water, this is a fresh preparation with a short shelf life — Supernature say up to 2 days refrigerated — so mix only what you'll actually use, or freeze portions in advance rather than making up the whole tub at once.

Who it's for: owners using a licking mat or slow feeder for enrichment, who want a proper spread rather than diluted wet food, and are happy to mix small batches as needed.
