How to measure
- Wrap a soft tape around the base of the neck.
- Add room for two fingers between the tape and the neck.
- Use that measurement to pick a size whose range it falls within.

Full description
A clip-on light only helps on the walks you remember to clip it to, which in practice means the planned ones and not the quick trip out at half past nine when the dog asks. A lit collar the dog simply wears solves that, and the deciding detail is whether it is comfortable enough to stay on all day. Nylon webbing is, which is why this is the format worth paying for over a plastic hoop that goes on over the top.
The build is ordinary nylon collar webbing with the light element running along it, charged through a USB port with the cable supplied in the box. Choose the colour deliberately rather than by taste: red and orange hold up best against grass and hedgerow, white and blue read most clearly against frost and pale pavement, and in a two-dog household, two colours tell you which one is heading for the pond.
