Not every dog chew is built to test a jaw for twenty minutes — some are meant to be worked through quickly, and Smartsticks sit in that camp.

Chicken breast is the main ingredient at 29%, bound with wheat flour and maize starch, with pea powder (4.2%), sweet potato powder (1.3%), chicken liver (0.3%) and carrot powder (0.17%) added for flavour and colour. The analysis comes out at protein 14%, fat 0.5%, fibre 1%, ash 7% and moisture 14%, and they're suitable for dogs of any size.

What's worth checking before buying. Wheat flour is in the composition, so this isn't a wheat-free or grain-free chew — worth knowing if your dog is on a grain-free diet elsewhere, since several of the chews on this shelf are grain-free and this one isn't. No chew duration or daily quantity guide is given on the card we hold either.

Who it's for: owners of a dog of any size wanting a light, quick chicken chew, rather than anyone specifically feeding grain-free or wheat-free.
