Sweet potato in a dog chew is usually there for fibre and flavour rather than protein, and the figures here bear that out.

This chew combines 26% chicken breast with 26% sweet potato powder in equal measure, alongside wheat flour, glycerol, minerals, pea powder (4.3%), chicken liver (1.1%) and carrot powder (0.17%). It analyses at 13% protein, 1% crude fibre and 6.5% crude ash, at 217.6 kcal per chew, and the guidance is to split one chew over two days for large and X-large dogs.

• 26% chicken breast and 26% sweet potato powder, in equal measure
• Analytical protein 13%, crude fibre 1%, crude ash 6.5%
• 217.6 kcal per chew
• Large and X-large dogs: feed one chew over 2 days
• Rawhide-free
• 2-pack

On the protein figure. At 13% protein this reads lower than a meat-forward chew like the Beef Bones in the same range, which makes sense given sweet potato sits at an equal 26% alongside the chicken breast — it's a genuine half-and-half recipe rather than a meat chew with a sweet potato garnish.

Who it's for: owners who want a rawhide-free chew with a genuinely equal sweet potato content, rather than a purely meat-based one, particularly for a large or X-large dog on the two-day feeding guidance.
