A dog that empties a bowl in fifteen seconds swallows a lot of air with it, and the discomfort, the burping and the occasional return of the whole meal follow from there. Two things worth knowing. And silicone is soft: this is a feeding bowl, not a chew toy. A dog who starts gnawing the ridges will take pieces out of it, and at that point it needs replacing rather than washing.
