A metal bowl on a hard floor makes a specific kind of noise every time a dog nudges it while eating, and it's the frame around the bowl, not the bowl itself, that usually needs solving.

Moderna's Skybar holds stainless steel bowls inside a BPA-free plastic frame with rattle-free rims and non-slip rubber feet, so the bowl sits still rather than skating across tiles. The frame lifts the bowl slightly, with easy pick-up sides for moving it. It's made in three sizes to suit different breeds.

On sizing. Moderna say the three sizes are made 'to suit most breeds' without giving measurements or a weight guide against small, medium or large — so match it by eye to your dog's current bowl rather than by breed name alone.

Who it's for: owners of a dog that pushes its bowl around while eating, on a hard floor where a plain metal bowl slides.
