Loose catnip loses its punch once a bag is left open, and how it's packaged matters almost as much as how it's made.

This is natural catnip supplied in a resealable bag to keep it fresher for longer, sold in two sizes — 50g and 20g — so it can be used loose, sprinkled into toys, or scattered onto scratching posts. It's part of Sharples Pet's Ruff 'N' Tumble range.

On freshness. A resealable bag slows the catnip losing its potency but doesn't stop it — Sharples don't give a shelf life once opened, so the honest answer is to reseal it properly after every use and not expect it to still be at its strongest months in.

Who it's for: owners who want catnip to refill toys or scatter on scratching posts themselves, rather than buying it pre-loaded into a single toy.
